Callipare, Anthony C.
Greece: Entered into eternal life at the age of 87 on April 23, 2008. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary and son, Anthony Jr. He is survived by his son, Fr. Joseph Callipare of Pensacola, FL; his daughters and son of Rochester, Rosemary (Roger) Bachman, Phyllis DeFilipps and Philip (Mary Grace). Tony is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Jennifer DeFilipps, Sara (Chad) Moravec, Donald DeFilipps, Phillip Callipare, Ens. Kyle Bachman, Trevor Bachman, Casandra Callipare and Joseph Callipare; sisters, Theresa Burge, Virginia (Ed) Luczko, Joanie Lester, Helen Zazzara and Arlene (Jim) Rielich; sisters-in-law, Kay (Ray) Dalle and Rosalie (Bill) McEvily; and many nieces and nephews. Tony was retired from Eastman Kodak Company and the City to Rochester Parks Dept. at the Genesee Valley and Webster Park Skating rinks where he worked with and developed countless youth in the sport of speed skating. He was also a citywide and national men's speed skating champion and a WWII Veteran. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of the Journey Home for their kind and gracious assistance during his final days, along with his immediate caregivers at Unity TCU, especially Maggie, Linda, India, Claudette, Little Linda, Debbie #1 and Debbie Doo (Lauren).
Friends may attend his Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church, Ridge Road West. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626, or Masses may be offered through St. John Catholic Church, 303 South Navy Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32507.
